Are you ready to create your own website but don’t know where to start? This 2-part series is designed for faculty looking to amplify their research impact, enhance student engagement, and showcase their academic portfolio. The intended audience is for both beginners and experienced users who want to create compelling WordPress websites. By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills to create and maintain your own website. Sessions will include:
Part 1 (Asynchronous): Introduction to WordPress. Introduces the basics of WordPress and covers a range of topics including exploring the use-cases, selecting themes, plugins, and distinguishing between pages and posts. Participants will have access to a pre-recorded session on February 26, 2024.

Part 2 (Synchronous, in-person): This hands-on session on March 26, 2024 builds on the fundamentals from Part 1 applying what you’ve learned to create your own website.
During this session, workshop facilitators will work with you, assisting to build a WordPress website from start to finish.
